Alberta Ruth Dyer

Alberta Ruth Dyer (nee Hildreth), 88 of Upper Deerfield passed into eternal rest at home on February 4, 2025, which also would have been her recently departed husbands 85th birthday. She had been our warrior battling cancer over the past several years.
Alberta was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter of the late Albert Hildreth and Alice Loveland (nee Ingersoll) and is recently predeceased by her husband, Floyd Dyer just 3 weeks ago. A Bridgeton area resident her entire life and graduate of Bridgeton High School, Alberta worked as a cashier at Food Fair, Pantry Pride and Thriftway where she was lucky enough to retire in her 40's. Between working full time, she was also involved with the Cumberland County 4-H and enjoyed working the judge's box at the horse shows as well as working in her yard, spending time with her black lab "Maddie" and was ready to go at a moment's notice to go shopping with her daughters. Not to mention the many laps she did behind the wheel at Vineland Speedway with her Uncle Elton.
She is survived by; two daughters, Kathleen Rizzo of Pittsgrove and Tracy Hampton (Bobby) of Upper Deerfield, and a daughter in law Susan Davidson; one sister, Suzanne Overstreet (Jimmy); one brother, Jeff Hildreth (Elaine); three grandchildren, Carl "Mathew" Tozer, Anthony Rizzo III, Brianna N. Lincks; and three great-grandchildren, Lilith & Lucy Tozer and Olvia Rizzo; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by; her son, Michael Dyer; son-n-law, Anthony Rizzo Jr.; brother Gary Hildreth; and sister, Barbara Simmerman.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, February 6th at Laurel Lawn Cemetery 170 Old Deerfield Pike, Upper Deerfield Twp.
