Alberta McAlpine Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home on Mar. 27, 2026.
Alberta McAlpine, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at the age of 88 in Norwood, MA. Born on May 30, 1937, in Boston, MA, she was the loving daughter of Daniel and Mary O'Leary.
Alberta's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, dedication, and community service. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald McAlpine, with whom she shared a profound and enduring love. Together, they built a life filled with joy and purpose, creating a warm home that was a cornerstone of happiness for their family and friends.
As a mother, Alberta was unparalleled. She is survived by her son, Thomas McAlpine, and his wife Carrie. Her guidance and wisdom were the guiding lights of their lives, and the values she instilled in them remain a testament to her character. The joy of Alberta's life was further multiplied by her adoration for her grandchildren, Amanda and Ava McAlpine, whom she loved spending time with and who brought her immeasurable happiness.
Alberta's journey through life was marked by her passion for education and her dedication to her community. She graduated from high school in Boston and carried with her the lessons learned and friendships made throughout her life. In 1970, she moved to Canton, where she quickly became a valued member of the community. Her volunteer work at the Senior Center was not just a pastime but a reflection of her generous spirit and her desire to contribute to the well-being of others.
Her involvement with the Senior Center allowed her to touch the lives of many, providing companionship, support, and a kind word when needed. Alberta's presence was a source of comfort and joy to those around her, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Alberta's interests extended beyond her community service. She found great pleasure in the simple moments of life, cherishing the time spent with her beloved grandchildren. The memories created during these precious times are treasures that will be held close to the hearts of her family forever.
The legacy Alberta leaves behind is one of love, family, and community. Her life was a true reflection of the values she held dear, and she will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and her unwavering commitment to those she loved.
Alberta McAlpine's life was a gift to all who knew her, and she will be profoundly missed. Her spirit, however, will continue to inspire and guide us. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we take solace in the rich tapestry of memories she leaves behind, a lasting tribute to a life well-lived.
