Alberta C. "Bert" Scribner, aged 84, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Grove, Oklahoma. Born on May 6, 1941, in Altamont, Kansas, Bert was known for her great personality, joyful spirit, and sweet nature.

Bert attended Altamont High School and pursued some college education before embarking on a long and dedicated career as a secretary at Occidental Oil Company. She retired to the serene surroundings of Grand Lake, cherishing her time in the beauty of nature.

Married to Ralph Scribner on June 23, 1986, Bert's life was filled with love and companionship. She and Ralph shared many adventures traveling across the United States, exploring the vast landscapes and making memories together. Bert's best friend, Dorothy Volmer, was a significant part of her life, sharing in her joys and providing cherished companionship throughout the years.

Bert's passing is deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and the joy she brought to every room will be sorely missed.

Bert is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary (Olmsted) Testerman and sister, Alverna Testerman.

Left to cherish her memory, husband of 39 years, Ralph Scribner, daughters, Sandy Burford (Clayton) and Cindy Rohling (Rob), all of Locust Grove, Ok, grandchildren, Audrey, Bailey, Wesley and Britni Rohling, great grandchildren, Ayanna and Evelyn Hensley; brother, Harold Testerman and sister, Linda Carr (Jerry) all of Coffeyville, Ks.

A Celebration of Bert's life will be held at 1 pm on Friday February 20, 2026, at Nichols-Stephens Funeral Chapel, followed by lunch.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Village of Hickory Point Building Fund c/o the funeral home.
