Albin Struning Obituary
He grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey and graduated from Millburn High School in New Jersey. He continued his education at Colgate University, Hamilton, New York. After completing his studies at Colgate, he began his lifelong career as a design engineer at the former United Technologies Corporation (now part of Raytheon Technologies) in the Hartford, Connecticut area. Following his retirement after 37 years working as a design engineer, Albin enjoyed reading and spending evenings sitting outside in the shade.
He was predeceased by his brother William Charles Struning Jr. He is survived by his only relative, a niece, Carol Struning Giulino, her husband John and their children Meghan, Geoffrey and Colby. He is also survived by his companion Leslie Ann Lopez.
Albin chose a peaceful resting place at Oak Lawn Cemetery and Arboretum in Fairfield, CT, with a graveside service to be held on Friday May 16, 2025 at 1 p.m. Please meet directly at the cemetery.
