Albion Upham, 73, of Warren, Maine, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025. A proud member of the Medomak Valley High School Class of 1970, Albion was known for his strong work ethic, boundless energy, his deep love of the land, and his ability to build or fix just about anything.
From a young age, Albion took on various jobs and found great joy in hard work. He had a special fondness for farming and animals and held treasured memories of his time working on Willis and Jo Moody's dairy farm. Whether he was under the hood of a car or building a home, Albion took great pride in his craftsmanship and loved staying busy with his hands.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Lida; his son, Peter; and his parents, Melisande and John Sr.
Albion is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; his sons, Albion Jr. and wife Deb of Waldoboro, and Jason and wife Ann of Warren; and his grandchildren, Dylan and wife Liz of Farmington, Dustin Upham of Warren, and Chelsea Upham of Waldoboro, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was also a beloved great-grandfather to Jason, Kayleigh, and Colt.
He leaves behind his siblings: John Jr. and wife Sandra, Angelon and wife Linda of Hampden, Naomi and husband Kevin Kirkpatrick of Washington, and Melinda, as well as many extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18, at 10:00 a.m. at the German Cemetery in Waldoboro, Maine. All who knew and loved Albion are welcome to attend.
Albion will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his quiet strength, his steady hands, and the love he poured into all he did.
