Alejandos I Borges ObituaryAlejandos I. Borges, age 89 of Monroe Township, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025 at St Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded by his loving family. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Alejandos grew up in Brooklyn, raised his family in Old Bridge, retired to Forked River and settled in Monroe Township five years ago. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Before retiring, he worked as a printer for Spectrum Color Lab in New York, NY.
Alejandos was known for his athleticism and joy for life. He excelled in sports and activities including bowling, golfing, tennis, fishing, canoeing, playing pool and dominos. Most recently he enjoyed dance lessons with his companion, Bernice Monaco. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He shared a beautiful life with his family filled with love and laughter. He will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is predeceased by his parents Jose and Maria Borges and by his beloved wife, Casilda Borges. Surviving are his daughters and their spouses, Jacqueline and William Herbek and Alexandra and Daniel McNamara; and his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Skidmore and his wife Brooke and Cassandra Skidmore.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1pm to 5pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ with a 4pm prayer service. A private cremation will follow. An inurnment will take place on Thursday, 11am at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in East Brunswick.
