Goldie M Betzler

Goldie M. Betzler, age 92 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Venetian Care Center in South Amboy. Born in Pittsburg, PA, she had resided in Sayreville for most of her adult life with some time spent in Manahawkin. Before her retirement Goldie worked at Johnson & Johnson in Milltown for 15 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Goldie lived her life being selfless and generous. A proud foster mother, she opened her heart and home to ten babies who began their life surrounded in her warmth and care. She also supported numerous charitable causes, always offering help wherever she could. An excellent baker, she was particularly known for her delicious Hungarian cookies. She enjoyed traveling and treasured time spent with her family – most of all with her beloved grandchildren. She will deeply be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

She is predeceased by her parents Andrew and Barbara Borsos, her siblings, Bill, Joe, and Geza Nagy, Jennie Molnar, Ethel Beck and Agnes Laszlo, her husband Francis Betzler, and her son-in-law George Stueber.

Surviving are her daughters, Amy Stueber and Mary Farrelly and her husband Michael; Francine Medina, to whom she was like a second mother; her grandchildren, Michael, James and Shane Farrelly and Zachary Haspel; her great grandchildren Zoe, Emerson and Luke Farrelly; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will take place on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. Funeral services will be held on Friday 9:30am from the funeral home with a 10:15am Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin.
