Alejandrina Hernandez

Alejandrina Hernandez, 88, of Berwick, died Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Berwick, surrounded by her daughters.
Born May 18, 1937 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Jesus and Julia (Camacho) Cuevas.
Alejandrina was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her life was driven by making her loved ones happy. She was kind, loving and she always had a positive attitude for life which she showed with her warm, beautiful smile. Her faith in God was strong.
She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Berwick.
Alejandrina enjoyed trips with family and bus trips with the Senior Center to see shows. She loved cooking, and most of all, cherished spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Luis A. Hernandez, who died January 20, 1995; and her sister Rosa Mendez.
Surviving are three daughters, Dr. Susy L. wife of Dr. Paul Wiegand, Zulma I. wife of Dr. Bipin Chopra and Ivette Tanribilir wife of Kevin Tanribilir, all of Berwick; four grandchildren: Elizabeth Gabel Kevin C. Tanribilir, Julia Wiegand, and Paul Jay Wiegand and one great-grandchild, Nolan Gabel.
At the request of the deceased, services will be private. A mass will be dedicated in her memory at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday November 29th at 5:30 p.m.
Interment and celebration of her life will be in Lares, Puerto Rico.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to an animal charity of your choice.
