Rivas, Alejandro J., of Revere, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, February 19, 2024.
Beloved son of Maria Rivas and Emilio Barillas of Revere
Cherished nephew of Ulises Rivas, Roberto Rivas, and Argelia Rivas.
Dear brother of Camila Barillas, Matias Barillas-Rivas, and Santiago Barillas-Rivas.
Loving grandson of Delfina Marquez and the late Eligio Rivas.
Adored Godson of Joanna Ventura of Stoneham and Alejandro Rodriguez.
Alejandro was born on November 27, 2013 and lived in Revere, Ma where he attended Revere Public Schools and was in the 4th grade at the Garfield Elementary School. While at school he had a passion for playing football, basketball, and soccer with his friends, as well as watching sports while at home. When he wasn't at school Alejandro was an avid bike rider, skate boarder, roller skater, who also enjoyed fishing at local ponds and rivers.
Family and friends will honor Alejandro's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home in East Boston, on Monday, February 26th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday morning at 7:45 AM before leaving in procession to the Madonna Queen of the Universe Shrine, in East Boston for a 9:00 AM mass. Services will conclude with Alejandro being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett with his grandfather, Eligio. May they rest in peace.
