Alesia Angela Shields was born June 2, 1987, in Chicago, Illinois, to Darryl Williams & Cassandra Antoinette Shields. Alesia was loved by everyone, her beautiful smile was infectious she will be missed. Alesia received Christ September 18, 1994 and was baptized by Pastor E.L. Wiseman of Progressive Baptist Church Davenport, Iowa. Alesia continued her walk in faith under the direction of Pastor Marvin D Jenkins of The Union Missionary Baptist Church and became actively involved as a youth minister coordinator Waterloo, Iowa. Alesia attended Iowa City High School and graduated in May 2005. She had a vast amount of accomplishments: Iowa Minority Academic Grants (University of Iowa), Reach for Your Potential award and many others. After high school Alesia attended Moraine Valley College in Palos Hills, Ill majoring in Liberal Arts. She had a passion for the arts and was an extraordinary cook. Alesia & Jermaine (Waterloo) recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl Jalisa Eunice Matthews on December 30, 2012. Alesia leaves to cherish her memories Father: Darryl Williams, Mother: Cassandra Antoinette Shields. Stepfather: Vernonance Dixon Sr. Her siblings Deakota, Verneshia, Darrylnique, Ashley, Dontrell, Darryl Jr, Kiera, Phalen. Stepbrother: Vernonance Dixon Jr. Grandfather: Andrew Shields Sr. (Chicago) Grandmothers: Versie Watkins (Chicago), Georgia Dixon (Chicago) Aunts & Uncles: Alesia Williams (Chicago), Anthony Williams (Chicago), Jimmie & Tiffany Williams (Chicago), Cynthia & Mark Hamilton (Chicago), Andrew & Cynthia Shields (North Liberty), Albert & Sabrena Shields (North Liberty), Anthony Shields (North Liberty), Angela & Eric Flowers (Iowa City), Angela Harris (Waterloo), Lanetta Dixon. (Gary), Leonard Dixon (Chicago), Rickey Dixon (Chicago). One niece, and six nephews and a hosts of cousins & friends. Alesia was preceded in death by her Grandmother Lillie M Shields &Uncle: Andre L Shields.
