Alex M. Coffey, 91, lived in Akron, Ohio. He was born July 8, 1934 in Frederickstown, PA. He transitioned this life August 28, 2025.
Alex Coffey was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Frances Coffey, brother John Coffey Sr., son Harvey Johnson, nephew John Coffey Jr. and granddaughter Morgan Guice.
Alex Coffey was enlisted in the Army for 2 years. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 33 years. Alex loved watching his Western movies and sports, working in his yard and gardening. He also loved swimming, going to the gym and the race track, and most of all, fishing. He was a fisherman to his heart.
Family and friends are invited to visit at New Hope Baptist Church, 1706 S Hawkins Ave. Akron, OH 44320 on Monday, September 8th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral ceremony that begins at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor George Mosby officiating.
