I went to basic training with him. He was so nice and calm. He was a beautiful soul that everyone needed in their life.

I went to basic training with Gomez, and although I didn't spend much time with him, I know he was a great person who always made people laugh and help bring the mood up. My prayers go out to your family Alex. Rest well brother.

I never met him but my son Trent was in training with him. I will always remember the lesson he shared with all his friends and that is that he made an impact as a good and caring friend and even though
we are strong we are human. My son said he was funny and a good artist. Our hearts are broken for his friends and his family and also everyone who knew him. I think of him and the people who knew and loved him everyday. I know he taught each and everyone to love more and live life in courage. Our prayers and thoughts fo peace in the days ahead. I and my family are so honored to remember him . Until you all see his face again. Forever and honored soldier. God speed Gomez.
