of Chelsea, Michigan, age 67 passed away on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at Chelsea Hospital. He was born on October 8th 1957 in Belleville, New Jersey, the son of Anna Mae Wade and Elwood Howard Martin.
Alex was a person who truly lived by his beliefs, embracing faith in God that guided him through life's many paths. He always volunteered to help at church, dedicating his time to God and the people he loved. Known for being sharply dressed, Alex's presence was always a sight to behold, a reflection of his vibrant spirit and attention to detail. But it wasn't just the clothes that made the person- it was the heart beneath them that truly shone.
Family was the cornerstone of Alex's life. Survived by his wife, Dora Martin; daughters, Alexis Martin, Jayda Boysaw, Jasmine Chitty Cherry, Aaliyah Hunter, and Jovanni Jamison Lewis; sons, Jahad Chitty, Demarcus Boysaw, and Alex Martin JR; grandchildren, Milan, Marielle, Kane, Mia, Jayden, Phoenix, Journie, Dream, Remeyah, Jesse, Jayda, Sahara, Marley, Zyion, Nakiyah, Nahla, and Serenity; and one great-grandchild, Grayson. Alex is also survived by brothers, Archie, Larry, and Howard, while remembering those who predeceased them: their mother, Anna; father, Elwood; and siblings, Keith, Stanley, and Paulette.
No public services will be held.
