Alex R. Volta, born on June 8, 1939, in Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025. A dedicated professional, Alex spent many years at Rochester Telephone Company before taking his expertise to ACC and Paetech Communications after retirement. His commitment to precision and detail was evident not only in his career but also in the way he approached life.
A man of many passions, Alex found joy on the golf course, particularly during winters in Florida where he could indulge in his love for the game year-round. He also cherished the time spent boating and making memories at their beloved lake house on Conesus Lake, a cherished gathering place for family and friends.
Alex is survived by his children: Sheila Volta, Sue (Scott) Lorenz, and Jeff (Julia) Volta. He adored his grandchildren, Matt (Maria) Lorenz, Sarah Lorenz and fiance' Tyler Huntley, Katie Lorenz, and Marshall and Oliver Volta, and took great pride in their accomplishments. He is also remembered fondly by sisters in law, and brothers in law as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol, as well as his father Mario and mother Sadie.
Alex R. Volta will be remembered not only for his professional contributions but also for the warmth he brought to those around him, the love he shared with his family, and the joyful memories crafted over many years. His legacy of organization and detail will undoubtedly inspire all who knew him.
