Jonette Volta

Jonette Volta, age 76, of Ocean View, DE formerly of Lansdowne, PA passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at her home.
Jonette was born in Trenton, NJ on July 8, 1948 daughter of the late John Pyle and the late Lillian (Tunnicliffe) Pyle. She graduated from St. Anthony Catholic High School and also graduated from Helene Fuld School of Nursing in New Jersey.
She had a long successful career as a registered nurse at Lankenau Hospital outside of Philadelphia, PA where she served as the Operating Room Nurse manager for several years before her retirement. She will be remembered as a very dedicated and compassionate nurse.
After moving to White's Creek Manor in Ocean View, DE she quickly settled into the beach life with her husband, Michael and her rescue pets. She underwent many medical hardships but always loved living in the White's Creek Community as she served on the social committee. Jonette had a love for animals and became the dog sitter for many of her neighbors.
She dearly missed the love of her life, Michael Volta who passed away in 2019. She is survived by a cousin JoAnn Zygmunt and her husband, John and their two sons, John and Jeff Zygmunt all of Hamilton Square, NJ; a brother-in-law, Anthony Volta and his wife, Angela of Philadelphia, PA and their daughter, Deanna Tutka and her husband, Edward of Bellmawr, NJ.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, where friends and family may gather after 11 AM. Entombment will be held privately at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE.
