Alexa “Lexi” Rae High, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece and friend, passed away on June 23, 2025, in Springfield, Oregon, at the age of 36 after a brief hospital stay at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart.
Lexi was born on March 31, 1989, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. She grew up surrounded by family and love, and later graduated from Stayton High School. Lexi went on to complete the Medical Assistant Program at ITT. She worked as a caregiver and was known for her kind spirit, warm smile, and the deep empathy she showed to her clients.
Lexi had a profound love for music, animals, and above all, her family. Her vibrant personality and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be remembered for the way she brought joy into every room and offered unconditional love to those around her.
Lexi is survived by her parents, Kelly High and Randy High; her siblings, Valerie Fitzgerald (Andrew), Samantha High, Tayler High, Alex Sims, and Alysha Sims; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Aria, Mila, and Ava Fitzgerald, Hudson Bigelow, and Ezra High. She also leaves behind her grandparents, Terry Souza, Linda Moran, Bill and Shirley Reynolds, and Al and Sarah High.
A memorial service to celebrate Lexi’s life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Weddle Funeral Service in Stayton, Oregon.
Lexi's spirit, compassion, and love will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
