Celebrating the life of Alexander Thomas
October 29, 1995 to November 12, 2024
It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we say goodbye to our son Alexander Thomas Burkart. He was 29 years old. A beautiful soul and a total goofball who loved to laugh.
The first time John and I saw him, he was in Russia. With his fists clenched and his face in a scowl. I knew from the moment I saw him he was meant to be our child.
Alexander was always precocious and curious. He tore things apart, broke through barriers, and explored. He helped others in need, but never told other people about it. He was beautiful. His smile was contagious, and he was funny! He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. I think making people laugh or happy would be his super power...it was what made him the happiest.
He will be wholly missed by his father and mother, John and Tammy Burkart, his three sisters Katherine Burkart, Emma Burkart, and Kristina Fisch, his grandparents Cookie and Meme, his extended family, the Ortega's, and friends.
Sasha...Wait...wait
Thank you

Psalms 139
"O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. "
