Alexander David Cadena, age 38, took the Lords hand on Monday, June 23, 2025, in El Paso, Texas. Growing up, Alex was an active and spirited young man. He played soccer and was a proud member of the swim team, always bringing energy and humor wherever he went. His outgoing nature and quick wit made him the kind of person everyone gravitated toward—if you knew Alex, you knew what it meant to feel truly loved.
A skilled welder by trade and a fisherman by passion, Alex built a life in Alaska where he worked hard and found peace on the water. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
Above all, Alex’s greatest joy in life was being a father. His daughters were his pride and joy—the light of his life. He loved them fiercely and unconditionally, and everything he did was with them in mind.
Alex leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is preceded in death by both his grandfathers; Ramon Zambrano and Luis Cadena. He is survived by his loving parents; Ricardo and Gabriela Cadena; his beautiful daughters; Priscilla Cadena and Alexa Katalina Cadena; his siblings; Mathew Cadena and Stephanie Cadena; and his grandmothers; Rosa Elva Zambrano and Anita Galindo. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, Monday, July 07, 2025 with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, July 08, 2025 at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Church, 1700 George Dieter Dr, El Paso, TX 79936.
