Alexander J. Jakubauskas

Alexander J. Jakubauskas, age 92, of Lanark, IL, passed away at Allure of Pinecrest, in Mt. Morris, IL, on June 4, 2025. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Alexander was born September 1, 1932, in Lithuania, the son of Alexander and Lucia (Zukowski) Jakubauskas. As a teenager he immigrated to the United States. Shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the United States Army. Alexander became a naturalized U.S. citizen and proudly served his new country, in the 82nd Airborne Division.
After his honorable discharge from the Army, Alexander studied at the University of Illinois, before earning a bachelor's degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He made a career as an electrical engineer.
Alex is survived by longtime friend, Darlene Josel; three daughters, Aldona, Audra, and Astra; a son, Alex; and a sister, Lucia;
