Alexander Pompey

Alexander Pompey, AP, Apple Pie, Xander fell asleep, on Thursday, July 2025, at his home. He was 75 years old. Alexander was born on January 31, 1950, to Otis Sr. & Hattie Rose (Commy) Pompey, in Florence, South Carolina.
He attended Johnson High School in Timmonsville, South Carolina. As a senior in high school he was a School Bus Driver which made him responsible for picking up children for school, as well as taking them back home. After graduating from high school in June of 1968, Alexander attended the Florence-Darlington Technical College in South Carolina. While there, he earned his Professional Certification in Welding.
In 1970, Alexander and his high school sweetheart, Patricia and their two year old, daughter Sharon Teresa moved from South Carolina to Wilmington, DE, where they got married; and years later they welcomed to this union a son, Alex Patrick.
Alexander loved fishing, repairing cars, singing, dancing, watching The Three Stooges and all sports. Walking was one of his great loves - he walked up to 5 miles every day!
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Patricia A. Pompey; children, Sharon T. Green, Alex P. Pompey (DeShe') and Isaiah E. Miller; his grandchildren, Andre C. Green, Aaron M. Green and Xea M. Pompey and one great-grand son, Amir C. Green; siblings Wilhemena Smith, Leroy (Linda) Pompey, Pastor Alphonso (Sylvia) Pompey, Levern (Lana) Pompey. He is preceded in death by his brother, Otis Pompey Jr. and his sister, Ether Lee Isaac; in-laws, Cena Pompey, Dorothy Redden, Charlene Redden, Betty Gibson, Chester Smith, Mosby Smith and Jeanette Smith; a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
ALEXANDER IS RESTING, NO MORE SUFFERING, NO MORE WORRY, AND NO MORE PAIN, SLEEP ON OUR LOVE! MUCH LOVE!
