Alexander Powell Obituary
It’s with heavy hearts the tragic death of Alex, (Peezy) 34 years old passed away on December 27th 2025 in South Jordan, UT.
He was born May 2nd 1991 in West Valley City, UT to Dayna Orton-Powell and Billy Powell. Despite Alex’s upbringing he overcame his struggles in life. He had a heart of gold with an infectious laugh that you couldn’t help but laugh at. Alex had two goals in life 1. Have a life he could be proud of 2. Be present in his son’s life! He accomplished both those goals. Alex was employed at Jellyfish Lighting which he looked forward to each day. Alex was a valued member of the team and made lifelong friends! While he was not working Alex loved being with his family and just living in the present moment finally in the life he always deserved. His son and dogs were everything to him. Alex was bashful although funny and would light up any room he was in you couldn’t help but, to simply love him! We don’t know how to live in a world where he doesn’t exist! Peezy will forever be missed and in our hearts always. It’s not goodbye, it’s always see ya later! Rest in love!
He is survived by his son Bentley Powell, Solace companion Brandy Stone, sister Summer Dunkin, nephews Sabastian and Jaxon, niece Penelope, brother Brian Winters, sister in-law Robin Castro, sister-in-law Jamie Winters, both his dogs Leo and Drako.
Preceded in death by grandmother Marilyn Young, grandfather Brent Young, sister Erica Powell, and mother Dayna Powell.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at Anderson & Goff Mortuary Located at 11859 South 700 East, Draper, UT 84020 with a viewing from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, services to follow at 2:00 PM.
