Alexander Gerald Rivera, 52, of Parlin, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024. He was born on April 3, 1972, in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and lived for most of his life. In 2017, he relocated to Parlin, New Jersey. Alex was currently working as a Sales Manager in the Health Insurance Field. Alex was a loving son, husband, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many. He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife and love of his life, Kara Marie Faust. Alex is survived by his adoring mother, Lucinda Lopez of Iowa and husband Victor, his father, Nelson Rivera Sr. of Florida, his loving brothers, Nelson Rivera Jr., Carlos Morales and his wife, Heather, his sister-in-law Lois Faust, his sister-in-law Gerry Lynn Haak and her husband Edward and his cherished nieces and nephews, SaylaLynn Haak, Gerald Edward Haak, Lucy Ann Morales, Willow Frances Rivera, Arlo John Morales, and Brenna Michelle Pacheco.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, with a prayer service taking place during the evening visitation hours, and Saturday morning, January 4, 2025, from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. Interment will follow at approximately 9:45 AM on Saturday morning at Fair View Cemetery, 456 State Highway 35, Middletown, New Jersey 07701.
