Alexandria Rae Tamez, who was known as Baby A, was called home by the Lord on September 6, 2025. She was born in Bay City on January 19, 2020, to parents Alex Tamez and Chelsea Powell of Louise. Baby A was a kindergartener at Louise Elementary where she enjoyed the experiences of youth with her classmates, teachers, and the many cousins in her small-town community. She was a feisty little girl in dresses and rubber boots who held her own in the rough and tumble of a boy's playground. She was fearless as only youth can be and never met a dog, cat, or chicken that she couldn't tame to do what she wanted. She was a strong hugger on her terms only: she will be missed by her family, cousins, friends, and community members who knew her. Alexandria is survived by her loving parents Alex Tamez and Chelsea Powell, sisters Alexia, Adalyn and Azalea of Louise; adored by her maternal grandparents John and Pauline Powell Jr. and paternal grandmother Linda Cardenas, as well as her maternal great grandmother Eva Ortiz and her paternal great grandparents Jose and Dolores Cardenas Jr. She was cherished by her aunts Nicole Cardenas, Amy Cardenas (Aaron), Shelly Powell (Travis), and uncles Zack Cardenas (Kimberly), Miguel Flores (Memory), John Powell Ill (Audrey), Sean Powell (Andrea), as well as her great aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins. Alexandria was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents John Powell Sr., Elizabeth Marek, Manuel Flores. A going home celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 8th at the El Campo Mennonite Church beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the Minister Staven Schmidt officiating the services. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers are Elijah Gonzales, Jose Cardenas IV, Lucas Cardenas, John Powell IV, Jordan Powell, and Jayce Powell. Honorary pallbearers are Diego Cardenas, Xander Paz, Jupiter Cardenas, Matthew Powell, Abiean Radago, and her kindergarten classmates at Louise Elementary. Friends and family alike are asked to wear her favorite colors of blue and purple on that day of celebration. Condolences may be shared online at www.triskafuneralhome.com
