Alexis Kechris Cummins, of Weymouth, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
Alexis was born in Quincy on January 3, 1947, and was the daughter of the late James and Penelope (Leontire) Kechris.
Alexis was the heart of her family and the light of every room she entered. Those who knew her will remember Alexis as one of the most caring, generous, and compassionate people they ever met. Her warmth and kindness touched countless lives. Whether through a comforting word, a helping hand, or her boundless ability to make everyone feel seen and loved.
Alexis lived her life with grace and purpose, always putting others before herself and finding joy in the simplest moments of connection. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
She will be deeply missed by her family, her many friends, and all who were blessed to share in her life. Her family asks that you honor her memory by extending the same compassion and care to others that she showed every day.
Cherished wife of Richard A. Cummins, with whom she shared many loving years. She was the devoted mother of Ted Cummins of Cordova, Tennessee, Rich Cummins and his wife Melanie of Plymouth, and Nyssa Cummins of Brockton. Alexis was the loving grandmother of Genevieve Marcinuk, Ava Cummins, Corey Marcinuk, Rogue Cummins, and Cody Cummins. She was the dear sister of the late Theodore Kechris.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square).
