Alfonso Ramirez-Garcia

Alfonso Ramirez-Garcia was born on October 4, 1951, in Bogota, Colombia. He departed this life on October 29, 2025, at the age of 74.
A funeral service to celebrate Alfonso's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Adcock Funeral Home Spring Lake NC with Rev. Luther Sanchez of Hope United Pentecostal Church in Hope Mills officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 11:30 AM, and the funeral service from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at the cemetery located at Riverview Memorial Gardens, 1857 North Bragg Blvd., Spring Lake, NC, 28390.
Alfonso was a man whose life was simple; he lived his life with the heart of a servant. He worked very hard as a wood flooring mechanic for most of his life and took great pride in his Colombian heritage. He embraced the vibrant music, rich traditions, and deep love for his country. He liked to clown-around and "act out" to make everyone laugh. He wasn't the greatest cook, but he made the best fruit salad and Sancocho. He loved to play with his nieces and nephews and their children. No matter where Alfonso was, he would always call his family no matter what the occasion was. He always spent time with his mom after work, sitting by her side and talking and joking with her and making her laugh. Throughout his life, he was the main financial support to his family proving that he would do anything to take care of those he loved.
He is the son of Esther Garcia de Ramirez and the late Manuel Ramirez Portugues of Bogota, Colombia. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel; his sisters, Alcira,Marlene and Hernando Ramirez He is survived by his brothers, Jorge and wife Fanny of Bogota, Colombia, Manuel, Alfonso of Spring Lake, Carlos of Fayetteville; sisters, Domaira of Bogota, Colombia, Stella of Fayetteville, Clara and Husband Jorge Carlo of Mesa Arizona, Maria, of Fayetteville, Sandra and husband Chad Kamel of Weston Florida.
Left to cherish his memory are his nieces, Diana, Angelica, Amanda, Sierra, Vienna; nephews, Carlos Alberto, Juan Carlos, Diego Camilo, James, Matthew, Daniel, Justin, Jacob and many other relatives and friends.
