Alfred Stanley Brannan, Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida, at the age of 75. Born on September 3, 1949, in Apalachicola, Florida, Alfred, affectionately known as "Mr. Stan" , "Paw Paw" and Grandpa Stan, was a friendly spirit with a kind heart. He never met a stranger. A devoted father and proud "Paw Paw", his greatest joy came from time spent with his children and grandchildren. He was also a passionate FSU and Liberty County Bulldog fan, and could be found cruising around on his golf cart.

Stan was a proud 1967 graduate of Carrabelle High School. His journey of love began when he met the love of his life, Debbie Shelton, while working at Super Value. The couple united in marriage on June 18, 1988, and together they built a life filled with joy and laughter. Stan's legacy continues through his beloved wife, Debbie Shelton Brannan, and their children: Robyn Brannan Garrett (Bobby), Tara Brannan Alford (Michael), Stan Brannan (Wendy), Tricia Moore (Robbie), and Lanet Chester (Matthew). His memory will also be treasured by his two brothers, Terry Brannan and Randy Brannan; three sisters-in-law, Suzanne Brannan, Kim Brannan, and Bonnie Brannan; thirteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents, Parmalee Brannan and Edith Merle Brannan, and his brothers, Thomas Lee Brannan and Riley Brannan, Stan's spirit of generosity and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him. A faithful member of Fusion Church, his Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in all his endeavors and relationships.

Stan's passion for sports was evident to all. An avid FSU booster, he was a fixture at Liberty County sporting events, cheering with enthusiasm and supporting the teams. His interests extended beyond the bleachers; he was also a talented woodworker, proudly displaying his creations at local festivals. His love for children was boundless, and as Golf Cart Santa Claus, he brought joy and smiles to countless faces during every parade.

Stan's life was a testament to the values he held dear: friendship, love, and faith. His presence was a blessing, and his absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and the community he so lovingly served. As we bid farewell to Alfred Stanley Brannan, Sr., we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of love that will endure for generations to come.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a memorial contribution in memory of Stan to Fusion Church located at 10922 FL-20 Bristol, FL 32321.

A funeral service for Mr. Stan will be held at Fusion Church in Bristol, Florida on Monday, August 11, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM Eastern Time with Rev. Darrell Johnson and Rev. Jerry Chumley officiating and McAlpin Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow at Lake Mystic Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the funeral service.
