Obituary of Alfred P. Bruzzi
Alfred (Al) Bruzzi, 87, of Vineland, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ.
Born on April 10,1938 to Louis and Tilda Bruzzi, in New York, Alfred was the oldest of 2 children and a resident of Vineland where he graduated from Vineland High School in 1957.
In his early years, Alfred helped his father with his catering business and served as a cook in the Army National Guard. He then served in the County Clerk's office and soon left to begin working at the Vineland Times Journal as a typesetter for nearly 30 years. Alfred was a very hard worker and became skilled in HVAC and appliance repair to support his family. After working for several appliance businesses, he then opened a small business, Al's Appliance Service and provided the residents of Vineland with appliance repairs for many years. He often spoke with pride of his enjoyment of owning a small business. In later years, he drove a school bus for Vineland Public Schools, and at the age of 79, he decided to retire. Alfred was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan, he enjoyed watching TV and going out for dinner. Al also enjoyed playing the accordion and performed at weddings and other events throughout Vineland during his younger years.
He is survived by his daughter, Margaret, of Ruther Glen, VA and his two granddaughters, Elisabeth and Danica of Va. He is predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth of 35 years, and his son, Alan.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 10am to 11am, followed by funeral services at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue. Burial will be held at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
