Born May 18, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Alfred and Margaret Crosby, Jr.
He was a resolute truck driver for Walmart Stores and Levi Strauss. His joy in life was always his family.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Eugenia K. Crosby. His son, Robert (Rob) D Crosby, wife Amy and their children Nick and Natalie. Daughter Judi Crosby and her daughters Preslee and Kerstin. Daughter Julie Clewis all of Fort Mill, SC. His brother Wayne and wife Claudia of Ashville, NC.
The family will have a 'Celebration of Life' at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.HankinsandWhittington.com.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to VIA Health Partners (Hospice) 7845 Little Ave. Charlotte NC 28226

Iam so very sorry to hear of this i have know AL for 50+ years. My dad and he were great friends. He made me lugh so many times i cant count. I will miss so much about him. To Jean and the family. If you guys need anthing please let me know. Im sure my dad and him are having a great time catching up...

My favorite memory of Bubba (he was "Bubba" to us) was the night my husband Wayne (his brother) and I went to their house to show him and Jean my engagement ring and tell them the exciting news that we were to be married. Bubba declared, "Hold on, I´ll be right back!" He hurried down the hallway and came back with a magnifying glass so he could see the diamond! That was Wayne´s brother, always joking and making life fun. We will miss him.
