Alfred T. "Fred" Fultz, Sr., 81 of Lewistown, passed away at his home on Friday, February 28, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Patricia L. (Hackenberry) Fultz for 60 years. Born on March 11, 1943 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Verna Viola (Lerch) and Rush H. Fultz, Sr. Fred graduated from Lewistown VoTech in 1961. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 10 years. He began working at S&S Chevrolet Body Shop before he started his 37-year career at Standard Steel. After his retirement in 2006, he missed his friends at the Standard dearly. Fred enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, He enjoyed watching Old Westerns, listening to country music, and doing projects at home. He enjoyed trips to the beach with his family and reminiscing of days gone by. In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by children, Alfred T. "Fred" Fultz, Jr. and wife, Tish of Belleville and Cherie Zimmerman and husband, Robert of Lewistown; 5 grandchildren, Cody Fultz, Addie Fultz, Bree Fultz, Clayton Fultz, and Nathan Zimmerman; and siblings, Rush H. Fultz, Jr., Ellen L. Lane, James A. Fultz and wife, Susanne, Mona Ann Fultz, and David R. Fultz. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. The service will begin at noon with Pastor Chris Lutz officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to either One Dog at a Time, Attn: ODAAT Treasurer, 225 Meadow Woods Dr, Lewistown, PA 17044, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
