Janice E. Anderson, 90, of Lewistown, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Greenwood Village. Born on November 19, 1934, in Lewistown, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Mary (Snook) Van Scyoc. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fern N. Anderson, as well as her son, Brian Anderson. Janice leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Barb Kauffman and husband Jim, of Lewistown; Lynn Neidigh and husband Dan, of Blanchard; Sherry Haller and husband Steve, of Leesport; and David Anderson and companion Scott McTavish, of Lewistown. She was a cherished grandmother to five grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to two. She is also survived by her dear sister, Marcia Greene and husband John, of Enola. A gifted seamstress, Janice honed her craft while working at Ruhl's Clothing Store before establishing Jan's Sewing and Alterations, where she served her community with skill and dedication for many years. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, where she found joy in fellowship and was an active participant in the church's sewing circle. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. Memorial contributions in Janice's honor may be made to Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, 61 Pine Glen Rd, Lewistown, PA 17044. Online condolences may be shared at www.kingbarrfuneralhome.com.
