Alfred was very skilled in his work as an architect, taking part in designing structures throughout the Capital Region, such as the Scotia Cinema and Hans Funeral Home. Alfred spent most of his career working for the N.Y.S. Office of General Services in the Design and Construction department, where he was a Senior Architect in charge of designing N.Y.S. prisons.
Al met his wife, Diane L. (Acquaviva) in 1964, and together they settled in Clifton Park, N.Y., where they raised their family. Al was a family man and enjoyed creating memories with Diane and his sons. He also enjoyed photography, bowling, racquetball, riding his Harley Davidson, and took great pride in his lawn.
Al is survived by his wonderful wife, Diane L. (Acquaviva) Horlacher; his sons, Michael (Jessica) Horlacher, Christopher (Shilpa) Horlacher and Randall Horlacher (Casey Byrnes) ; his grandsons, Jacob and Jason Horlacher and a granddaughter on the way, Ava.
