Alfred Joseph Kluesner, son of the late John Henry Kluesner and Elizabeth Reischman Kluesner was born on December 16, 1930 in St. Joseph, Tennessee and departed his life on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 94 years.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army and a resident of Chaffee. Alfred was a former employee at Florsheim Shoe in Chaffee and St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mr. Kluesner was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and Scott City Knights of Columbus.
On June 25, 1955 he was united in marriage to Rita Glastetter. Mrs. Kluesner preceded him in death on November 1, 2013.
Survivors include five daughters, Charlotte (Rick) Whitworth of Chaffee, Pat Fisher of Benton, Nancy (Raymond) Spies, Betty (Larry) Glaus, and Marlene Powers all of Chaffee; seventeen grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Semina Seyer of Oak Ridge and Angela Klueppel of Benton; also, by a host of other relative and friends.
Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Norbert Kluesner and Leonard Kluesner; two sisters, Henrietta Dirnberger and Marie Kluesner.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with Parish Prayers at 6:00. Eucharistic Celebration will be conducted on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM in St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with Rev. Daniel Belken officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Ambrose Cemetery.
