Romani, Alfred V.
WINDERMERE, Fla. - Alfred V. Romani, 94, of Windermere, Fla., formerly of Albany, passed away in Florida, on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
He was born in Albany, and was the son of the late Louis and Mary (Marcucci) Romani. Al was predeceased by his wife, Mary Cooke Romani; and his fiancée, Patricia A. Burgess.
He was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy and RPI. Al was an only child and cherished his time caring for his mother. He enjoyed her homemade pasta. Al was a civil engineer with New York State Department of Transportation for 35 years, retiring in 1987.
Al is the cousin of Claude (Eleanor) Romani. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Paul and Craig Cooke; Patricia's daughters, Kathy (Gary) Hotaling and Donna (Bradley) Schwebler. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday, at 11:00 a.m., at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Visitation will be Monday morning, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, N.Y. 12204.
