I met you in the early 90´s while you were interning at GPE. For years, our paths crossed. You were always an exceptional teacher, who inspired not only students, but also teachers. Your legacy will live on.

I was sorry to hear this news....always sad when another "Old Timer" passes away. I worked with Al as "the other gifted teacher" at FIE for seven years. Almost everyday was a good day- great students, fun with curriculum, IEP's, trainings, and meetings meetings meetings-- which were one of Al's least favorite things! It comforts me to remember the good times. I hope Al's family and close friends also find comfort in the memories, and strength through faith during these difficult days.

Al Story you set a most firm cornerstone in place for Fleming Island Elementary School´s Math Program. Your respect for your colleagues and ability to appreciate the vision for the school as a whole enabled the program to encompass every classroom and every student. Your legacy continues into the future through the love and respect of your colleagues and students. I personally thank you for your exemplary work and your valued friendship. Sincere condolences to your family and loved ones.

Thank you for your dedication and love for your students! My children carry the lessons you taught them every day, lessons that went well beyond math. You were very loved and we will always remember you and your lasting impact.
Our deepest condolences and prayers for your family and loved ones.
