Gerald David Bryant went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025. He was a father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and faithful servant of the Lord. Gerald was born February 5th, 1940, in Anniston, Alabama to Annie Maude & Felix Henderson Bryant. He is Survived by his loving children Sherry (Steve), Melanie (Steve) and Michael, Sister-in-laws Lena and Doris, Nephews Jeff, Mark and Jason. Grandchildren Alexa (Michael), Haley, Hannah, Amanda (Samuel), Andrew, Madison and great-grandchildren, Blaaidyn and Brierlee. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mable, Mother Annie, Father Felix and brothers James and Lamar.
During his life, Gerald accomplished many things. He completed his studies with degrees from both University of Alabama (Bachelors) and Lehigh University (Masters) in Industrial Engineering. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years and delivered 25 years of experience in his professional career at Monsanto before retiring at the age of 62. Gerald was a hardworking man who respected honest work. Even after retirement, he dedicated 17 additional years to working at Home Depot.
His service with honors will be held at the National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida on October 24th at 12:30 PM. Gerald will be greatly missed by his family, but they find hope in knowing he is at rest in the presence of the Lord, reunited with his wife. His lasting impact will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
