Erick Shawn Kane, born on November 13, 1967, in Man, West Virginia, passed away on October 2, 2025, while in the compassionate care of Fouraker Hills Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Shawn was the son of Betty Colleen Kane and the late Michael Joseph Kane; father to Timothy Shawn (Courtney) Kane (mother, Pamila Kane), Leah Marie Kane (mother, Jaqueline O'Neal), and Ashton Blaze Wright (mother, Connie Wright); grandfather to Bryson Kane, Alana Kane,
and Brooklyn Serenity Powers.
He is also lovingly remembered by Crystal Powers, who held a special place in his heart, along with her children Asia Leigh Powers and Todd Wade, who were his closest family. Shawn spent his life enjoying those around him. He will be remembered as a gifted storyteller, for singing funny songs, telling jokes and as man whose humor touched everyone he met.
He will be laid to rest with his ashes spread at Simpkins Cemetery in Beech Creek, West Virginia. A private service will be held.
