Alonzo Johnson Jr. was born on July 7, 1941 in Montgomery, Alabama to Alonzo Jonson Sr. and Ada Belle Johnson. He attended local Duval County Schools in Jacksonville, Florida.
Alonzo worked for several years for Fruit Growers Express (Currently CSX) as a welder, retiring in 2001 to care for his late wife Willie Pearl Johnson (Cherry).
Alonzo was proceeded in death by his loving and faithful wife Willie Pearl Goolsby-Johnson; parents, Alonzo Sr. and Ada Johnson; sisters, Deloris Marshall (Wayne), Glorius Louise Scruggs (Christian Dale), Veronica Louise Pollard; brother, Alphonso Johnson; uncles, Walter Johnson and Jimmy Johnson; aunts, Willie Pearl Mattie-Kelly, Kate Brookins, Virginia Hooks, and Marlena Hagans; brother- in-law, Nolan Harris; sister- in- law, Willie Mae Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory children, Darryl Johnson, Antionette Johnson (Barry), and Sardelta Black (George Jr.); Grand Children, Tytiyonna Nesmith (his heart), Jaszionna Johnson, Darielle Jonson, Zenobia Black, Darius Merritt and Zackariah Scott; brother, Alford Johnson; (sister-in-laws) Aneeta Johnson and Parnell Harris; brothers-in-laws, Roosevelt Pollard and Alfred Goolsby (Michelle).
