Craig A. Walker, Jr. was born on November 15, 1994, in Jacksonville,
Florida, to Kim Wright and Craig A. Walker, Sr. From the moment he
entered this world, Craig brought light, laughter, and love to
everyone around him. Known for his bright smile and energetic
spirit, he had a gift for lifting others' moods and making even the
hardest days feel lighter.
Affectionately known by family and friends as Lil Walker, Cricket,
and Jack Rabbit, Craig was a joy to be around-full of humor, charm,
and an undeniable zest for life.
A proud graduate of First Coast High School, Craig went on to build a
fulfilling career as a Merchant Seaman, traveling the world and
embracing life on the open seas. His adventurous heart and
dedication to his work reflected his courage and determination to
provide a better life for those he loved.
Craig was a devoted son, a caring brother, a loving father to his
beautiful daughter, and a cherished companion to his fiancée. His
playful personality-fondly remembered by loved ones as Lil Walk,
Bo Bo, and Traig-brought laughter and joy wherever he went.
Craig answered God's calling on Friday, September 26, 2025. He is
preceded in death by his two grandmothers and three great-grandparents.
Craig leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Kimberly A.
Wright (Anthony) and Craig A. Walker, Sr. (LaTara); his bundle
of joy, daughter Chandler A. Walker; and his beloved fiancée,
Rekiah Jones-Backey; brothers, Juwaun Fannin, Jordan Walker,
Anthony Wright, Jr., Camero Wright, and Da'Von Wright; sisters,
Alexis Page (Rashad), Aleyah Walker, and Shinicai Wright;
nephew, Mykal K. Fannin; aunt, Satonia Hart; favorite cousins,
Kaila Williams and Myles Jenkins; god-sisters, Zariah, Jayla, and
Justice; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
To know Craig was to know someone who loved deeply, laughed
freely, and lived fully. He will forever be remembered for his
kindness, humor, loyalty, and the way he could make anyone
smile just by being himself. Though he has sailed beyond the
horizon, his love will remain anchored in the hearts of his
family and friends forever.
"The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the
sand.
The sun goes down, yet its warmth still lingers on the land.
So, too, our loved one's love remains forever in our hearts."
