Finda Kadie Momorie was born on July 23, 1988, in Freetown, Sierra Leone, to Mr. Sahr Manya Momorie and Mrs. Kadiatu Norwoh Momorie. She received her early education at King Herman and Becklyn Preparatory Schools in Freetown.
In 2000, Finda immigrated to the United States and continued her education at Fort Caroline Elementary and Middle School in Jacksonville, Florida. She later attended Terry Parker High School and graduated from First Coast High School.
Finda pursued higher education at Florida State College in Jacksonville, initially focusing on Radiology. She subsequently transferred to Full Sail University to study Graphic Design. Unfortunately, due to health challenges, she was unable to complete her studies.
At the age of 15, Finda was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, a condition she courageously battled for 21 years. Despite the hardships, she remained resilient, demonstrating remarkable strength and unwavering faith. Even during times when medical professionals lost hope, Finda's determination, supported by her trust in God and the prayers of loved ones, enabled her to persevere.
Finda was deeply devoted to her faith and her love for God never wavered, even amidst her trials. She believed her life was a testament to God's sovereignty and grace. When her health permitted, she attended church and remained steadfast in her spiritual journey.
Finda had a zest for life and an innate sense of style. She was a source of inspiration to those around her, known for her gentle voice and radiant smile. As the "beauty queen" of her family, Finda enjoyed dressing elegantly, applying makeup, and attending social gatherings with friends. She also cherished simple joys such as watching fireworks and shopping online at Amazon.
On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Finda peacefully passed away in Jacksonville, Florida, leaving a lasting legacy of grace, resilience, and faith. She will be profoundly missed by her siblings, Sia, Kumba, and Kabba Momorie, along with her immediate and extended family, including the Momorie, Kaimachiende, Gborie, Coomber, Kobba, Siafa, Jaward, Ngaevao, Sannoh, Lansana, Kamanda (Kono) Kamanda (Bo), Mokuwah and Sama families, as well as countless friends and loved ones.
Finda's infectious smile, sense of fashion, and enduring spirit will forever be remembered.
