Alfred A. Wagner

Alfred A. Wagner, age 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023. Born in Rodenstock, Germany in 1927 where he lived until 1951. He moved to Chile in 1951 where he lived until 1955. Alfred moved to Columbus, Ohio, then to Newark, New Jersey in 1957. He became a U S Citizen in 1966. He worked in New Jersey as an eyeglass frame designer with Liberty Optical Company until his retirement in 1992. He moved to Groveport, Ohio in 2000. Alfred lived independently his entire life. Alfred was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert and Riichard Wagner and a sister, Elizabeth Kreucer all of Munich, Germany. He is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews all of Germany. A cousin Regina Tarr resides in Groveport. Visitation will be Thursday, November 16th from 11 am until time of the funeral at 1 pm at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME 587 Main Street in Groveport, Ohio 43125. Father Richard Metzgar will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
