Alfredo Gallegos Fonseca, 91, of Olton, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, in Olton. Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Alex Ambrose officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.
Alfredo was born October 14, 1933, in Runge, Texas, to Francisco and Maximina (Gallegos) Fonseca. He worked as a farmer and later for Xcel Energy for 21 years. In 1954, he married Eloisa "Molly" Salas in Runge, and they shared over 71 years of marriage together.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Alfredo was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. He loved to play Bingo and enjoyed watching friends and family play poker. His good humor and kind spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Irene Fonseca Cantu; three brothers, Nasario Fonseca, Elisando Fonseca, and Alberto Fonseca; and two sisters, Francisca Fonseca Rios and Hilda Fonseca.
Survivors include his wife, Molly Fonseca of Olton; his son, Gabriel Fonseca of Alabama; a brother, Hilario Fonseca of Kenedy, Texas; and four sisters, Anita F. Ramirez of Victoria, Texas, Alicia F. Camacho of San Marcos, Texas, Juanita F. Garcia of Seguin, Texas, and Consuelo Fonseca of San Marcos, Texas. He was blessed with three grandchildren: Ricardo, Dalvina, and Miko and seven great- grandchildren.
