Alfredo Morales
"Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather"
Mr. Alfredo Morales, 80, of Waterbury, CT entered the gates of heaven at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. He was the loving husband of Bethzayda (Gonzalez) Morales for 57 years.
Alfredo was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico on January 23, 1944, son of the late Sergio and Maria (Tecla) Morales. Alfredo Morales had very strong work ethics and his dedication and hard work allowed him to move up the corporate industry. He worked as a computer programmer for TIMEX, in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico for several years as a top executive for the IT Dept. He also held positions at Anchor Fastener, Bank of America, and New Opportunities in Waterbury CT. He always provided for his family and had a dream of owning his own business, and thus he owned and operated Dan's Soda Shoppe in Thomaston for several years.
He was most happy when he was surrounded by his family, especially when there was a domino or card game, and he could play for hours. Even in the hospital he would play dominos with his family usually coming out the winner. He also enjoyed playing bingo, putting puzzles together, and can be found on the weekends playing boardgames with his family. He also loved listening to country music while driving around town doing errands. Alfredo is described by those who knew him to be a sweet, genuine, humble, kind and loving man. If you knew him, you were blessed and if you needed him, he was there, always with a smile.
Besides his wife Bethzayda, Alfredo leaves to honor and cherish his memory; his three children, Betsy Morales of Miami, FL, Jessica Jimenez-Morales of Waterbury, CT and William Morales of Beacon Falls, CT; 13 grandchildren Luis A. Morales, Tammy S. Vroman, Regina L. Vroman, Kayla M. Jimenez, Veronica Morales, Joshua E. Jimenez, Angel G. Morales, Miguel A. Morales, Rafael G. Morales, Felicia K. Morales, Dante Lisella, Domenic Morales and Anthony Lisella; 5 great grandchildren, Jada-Lynn Perez, Ariana Herber, Aliyah Herber Caleb Cruz and Elijah Lisella and two brothers Sergio A. Morales and Javier A. Morales as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family members which he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his son Alfred Morales and his brother Miguel A. Morales.
Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Brookside Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 200 Benson Road, Middlebury. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours for Alfredo will be held Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Memorial.
