Mark S. Carter

"Loving husband, father and grandfather"

Mark S. Carter, 67, of Middlebury, passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 5, 2025 in the comfort of his home after a battle with prostate and colorectal cancer. He was the loving husband of Brenda M. (Blanchard) Carter.

Mark was born in Tottenham, England, a district of North London within the London Borough of Haringey. He settled in the United States at the age of nine and was raised in Danbury and Bethel. He graduated from Henry Abbott Technical High School in Danbury and later attended Post college. He retired as purchasing manager of Branson Ultrasonic, LLC in December of 2023. He was a lifelong, diehard fan of the New York Rangers and the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, a soccer organization from his home town in London. Although, his greatest love in life were his grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as Grandad. Mark's love and dedication to his family, along with his infamous dad jokes will always be remembered.

Besides his wife Brenda of 45 years, he leaves to honor and cherish his memory; a daughter, Kimberly Elyosius and her husband Kenneth, Jr. of Farmington; a cousin, Colin Gatland and his wife Lori of Dayton, OH; and three beloved grandchildren, Jack Elyosius, Kayla Colby, and Olivia Elyosius.

Arrangements: Calling hours with Mark's cremains present will be held Monday May 12, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brookside Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 200 Benson Road, Middlebury. A prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m. to close the calling hours. Final disposition will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mark's memory to:
