Algimantas "Al" Setikas January 1, 1941 – August 11, 2025

Algimantas "Al" Setikas, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and distinguished veteran, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born on January 1, 1941, Al lived a life marked by integrity, service, and deep commitment to his country and family. He served honorably in the United States Army for 30 years, dedicating his life to protecting and serving others. Al is a Vietnam Veteran serving two tours. Following his military career, Al continued his service to the nation through his work with the Department of Defense, where his leadership and dedication left a lasting impact.

Al was a lifelong learner, earning his undergraduate degree from City College of New York and later completing his Master's degree at Monmouth College. His intellect, discipline, and quiet strength were evident in all he pursued.

Al is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Deborah Setikas; his sons, Algis Setikas (wife Angela) and Andrew Setikas (wife Amy); and his stepchildren, Eric Woolfenden (wife Amanda) and Kristin Altieri. He was a proud grandfather to Daniel, Megan, Caitlyn, Ryan, and Dylan Setikas, and a cherished step-grandfather to Kahlia Blanchette, Wynter Woolfenden, Sky Woolfenden, and Austin Altieri. His legacy lives on in each of them.

Al will be remembered for his unwavering sense of duty, his gentle wisdom, and the love he gave so freely to his family. His presence was a steady anchor, and his memory will continue to guide and inspire those who knew him.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Al's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization close to Al's heart and reflective of his lifelong dedication to supporting fellow veterans.
