Alice Marie Andrick, born on January 15, 1963, in Topeka, Kansas, passed away surrounded by loved ones on November 11, 2024, in Topeka. Alice's journey through life was marked by her remarkable spirit, which touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Alice, a dedicated paraprofessional for USD 321, took great pride in working in several area nursing homes and providing home health care, showcased her unwavering commitment to those in need. Her professional life was a testament to her caring nature and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others. In recognition of her hard work and dedication, Alice was honored as the Paraprofessional of the Year in 2023.

Educated at Rossville High School, from which she graduated in the class of 1981, Alice furthered her education by attending Kaw Valley Technical School, where she became a certified medication aide. This accomplishment was a reflection of her passion for helping others and her profound sense of responsibility towards her community.

Alice will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her vibrant personality. She had a wonderful sense of humor, was known for her huge heart, and was recognized as a sweet person who brought joy and light to all she encountered. Alice loved KU sports, especially basketball, and found joy in kayaking and biking. Her love for animals was evident in her volunteer work at the Helping Hands Humane Society, and her commitment to teaching Sunday school for children reflected her nurturing spirit.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ron Andrick; her son, John Andrick; her daughter, Laura Andrick; her sisters, Ellen McFarland (Jim) and Amy Cummings and her brother, Mike Cummings (Barbara). Alice's legacy will live on through her family and all those whose lives she enriched.

Alice was preceded in death by her beloved son, David Ray Andrick; her parents, Cornelius and Lorraine (Lee) Cummings; and her siblings: Mark Cummings, Virginia Sue Franklin, and Sallie Kelley. Their memories will forever be intertwined with the loving legacy Alice leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on November 15, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rossville Christian Church located at 411 Spruce St, Rossville, KS 66533. A funeral service will take place on November 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM, followed by burial at the Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Rossville Christian Church or to the Helping Hands Humane Society and can be left in care of Piper Funeral Home.
