Alice Marion Baldwin, 93, a resident of Seymour, CT passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025.
Alice was born on February 28, 1932 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late Davio Gelmini and Marie (Schiavi) Gelmini. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1950.
Alice worked as an office manager for over 30 years at Valley OB/GYN and volunteered at Griffin Hospital for 19 years after she retired. She was an avid gardener, and she loved to cook and entertain family and friends; epitomizing what it means to have special holiday celebrations. Alice also enjoyed watching and feeding the many birds that embraced her beautiful gardens. When it was boating season, Alice and Don could be found out on the Long Island Sound enjoying all the beauty that nature had to offer. Alice was a dedicated member of St. Michael Church in Beacon Falls.
Alice is survived by her beloved husband Donald, her devoted daughter, Laura Miller (Jon Vickstrom), her loving son John Miller (Lucia), her kind step-daughter Donna Lee (Baldwin) Hall (Robert), her sister Linda D’Amelio, her brother David Gelmini (Pattie), her granddaughters LCDR Ashley Miller and Dr. Morgan (Miller) Pia (Kenny) and great-grandson Leonardo Pia.
Alice is predeceased by her brothers Charles Gelmini (Helen), and Louis Gelmini and brother-in-law Tony D’Amelio.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 28th from 4:00 to 7:00 at Miller Macari Family Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, Seymour, CT 06483. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 29th at 10:00 (Directly) at St. Michael Church 25 Maple Ave. Beacon Falls, CT 06403.
