Alice F. Biros

Alice F. Biros, a beacon of love and strength, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, in Brewster, NY. Born on April 22, 1929, in New York City, Alice's life was a testament to her adventurous spirit and intelligent mind.
Alice was the cherished daughter of the late Peter and Bertha (Keppler) Markey. She found her soul mate in Joseph John Biros, whom she married and deemed the love of her life until his untimely passing in 1960. Her love and memories of Joseph remained a guiding light throughout her life.
A proud veteran, Alice served her country in the U.S. Air Force before embarking on a fulfilling career as a Junior Office Administrator for Westchester County. Her work ethic and dedication to her role were evident to all who worked alongside her.
Family was the cornerstone of Alice's world. She was a loving mother to Patricia Sims and son-in-law George, Janice Missich & late son-in-law Dennis Missich, Kathleen Vinciguerra and son-in-law Joseph, Maureen Francisco and son-in-law Todd and the late Julia Sanders and her late husband Tony Sanders. Alice's legacy continues through her 14 dearly loved grandchildren and 20 treasured great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Alice's passions extended beyond her family. She was an avid gardener, finding solace and happiness in the beauty of nature. Her Irish heritage was a source of immense pride, and she celebrated it with enthusiasm.
Those who knew Alice will remember her as an adventurous and intelligent woman, whose presence enriched the lives of many. Her spirit, love, and memories will forever be held dear in the hearts of her family and friends. Alice F. Biros's remarkable journey through life will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY. During the visitation, Alice will receive United States Military Air Force Honors at 6:00 p.m.
A Prayer Service and Blessing to honor and celebrate Alice's life will take place 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., Carmel, NY.
Following the Prayer Service, Alice will be escorted to her final resting place along side her beloved husband Joseph John in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
