Alice May Buckley, age 89, of Lake Isabella, Michigan, formerly of Ovid and Greenville, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at her home. The daughter of Wilbur J. & Thelma Mae (Waldron) Goodwin, she was born on June 21, 1936 in Lansing, Michigan.
A graduate of Greenville Senior High School, Alice married Arthur Dale Buckley on May 5, 1956 in Greenville, Michigan, and was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Together, she and Art raised two children and enjoyed over 58 years of marriage until Art passed away on January 8, 2013.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cindy Lynne Buckley-Burleson; a son, Randy Buckley; two grandchildren, Kayla Buckley and Katral Stevens; a sister, Naomi Rupert; a brother, Daniel L. Goodwin; two sisters-in-law, Rose Goodwin and Julie Buckley; and two brothers-in-law, Dick Buckley and Edward Buckley.
Surviving are her son-in-law, John N. Burleson, Jr. of Lake Isabella; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gilbert & Joan Goodwin of California and David Goodwin of Greenville; her great-grandchildren, Tryton & Jasmine (Higgs) Stevens, Tehya Stevens, Ariel Buckely, and Damien Buckley; two great-great grandchildren, Carlisle Stevens and Helena Stevens; and many, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Christiansen’s Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rev. Stephen Bills, pastor of the Greenville Bible Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will follow at Eureka Township Cemetery.
