Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Alice Davis at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Arcadia. Burial will follow at Hurricane Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Alice was born on May 12, 1934, in Tobe, Colorado to Louis and Truely Rippetoe Christoph. She entered into rest at her home in Arcadia on Monday, November 13, 2023. She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where she served as treasurer, secretary and Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. Alice was a homemaker, managed several dollar stores and worked as a nursing assistant before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies were cooking, trying new recipes and then passing that passion for cooking on to the next generation. She was known for her compassion for others and her caring nature. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and all that knew her.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband Mervin Davis, daughter Diane Bailey, and by her siblings Albert, Manning, Carolyn, and Marlyn.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Jim Davis, Sandra Thornton and husband Bill, Teresa Chandler and husband Donny, Jeff Davis and wife Linda Kay, and Tonya Skinner and husband Shane, grandchildren, Carla Loe, Laura Cody, Kassy Jones, Johnny Thornton, Robin Thornton, Tony Bailey, Rose Bailey, Jamie Crabtree, Kathleen Hoskins, Jed Chandler, Richard Davis, Kimberly Burgess, Andrea Tate, Katie Skinner, and Dylan Skinner, brothers Stan Christoph, Darrell Christoph, and John Christoph, and by numerous great grandchildren, and other loving family and friends.
Honoring Alice as pallbearers will be Richard Davis, Johnny Thornton, Jed Chandler, Dylan Skinner, Chris Hoskins, and Kale Walters. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Tony Bailey.
