Alice Dorisio Obituary
Alice Anna Dorisio (nee Penn), age 91, lifelong resident of Medford, NJ passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
Alice had a strong faith, lived a prayerful life and had a great passion for music. She retired from the Evesham Board of Education in 1995. Alice truly enjoyed singing, playing guitar, drums and harmonica with her family bands The Rocking Three and Warm Hearted Country. When she wasn't practicing or performing, she delighted in taking vacations and cruises with family and friends. Alice also enjoyed taking trips to Tennessee, Lancaster PA, going to the casino, attending concerts and had an insurmountable amount of love for all animals, especially her parrot named Polly. But above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
Alice was predeceased by her parents, Jesse and Laura Penn; son, Bruce Bunning, and her siblings, Dorothy Tuscano, Jesse Penn, Lorraine Vazquez and Raymond Penn. She is survived by her loving husband, Dominic Dorisio; children, Sandra DiMaio (Ronald, predeceased), Susan Atkinson (Robert Gardner), Laurie Dorisio; Daughter-in-law, Diane Bunning; grandchildren, Earl Braddock Jr. (Tara), Bruce Bunning (Peg), Bryan Atkinson (Janis); seven great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 30th and again on Friday, December 1st from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, immediately followed by the funeral service, all at Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main Street, Medford, NJ. Interment will follow at Medford Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Alice's name may be made to Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge at Ways to Give - Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge
